spheropack.io.write_stl

spheropack.io.write_stl(packing, path, *, subdivisions=2, periodic_images=True)

Writes the sphere surfaces as a binary STL mesh (icospheres, 20 * 4**subdivisions triangles per sphere; 320 for the default).

Meant for meshing the pore space for CFD (e.g. OpenFOAM snappyHexMesh), CAD and 3D printing. With periodic_images (default) spheres cut by periodic faces are completed by their images. 3D packings only.
