Detailed Description

The position units of a contact list as a CSR (§4.3): unit u owns the contacts list(start(u)) .

. list(start(u + 1) - 1), sorted ascending by contact index, so list(start(u)) is its leader (smallest contact index). Units are numbered by ascending leader. Empty views = the identity (every contact its own unit), which the colourings and the sweep treat exactly as the per-contact code they replace.
